Eberl Slams Hamann, Urges Bayern to Excel vs. Frankfurt!

Max Eberl has strongly criticized Didi Hamann’s criticism of Harry Kane, labeling it unfounded. With Bayern Munich set to face Eintracht Frankfurt, Eberl emphasizes the team’s need to push their limits and secure a victory. He understands the importance of this match, not only for maintaining their position in the Bundesliga but also for regaining confidence after recent winless outings.

Eberl SLAMS Hamann Over Kane Criticism!

Didi Hamann can be seen as a hypercritical fan of Bayern Munich, or as today’s generation might say, a hater. After his absurd comment labeling Jamal Musiala a solo player earlier this season, Hamann has turned his attention to star striker Harry Kane.

After Bayern’s midweek defeat to Aston Villa, Hamann shared his thoughts in his column for Sky Germany:

In addition to the loss, Harry Kane also experienced a personally tough night in Birmingham. In my column after the European Championship this summer, I mentioned that he still needs to demonstrate he is worth the 100 million despite scoring over 30 goals last year, wrote Hamann.

He wasn’t signed to score a hat-trick against Darmstadt. His role is to score against Leverkusen, Aston Villa, and in the Champions League quarter-finals. He hasn’t achieved that yet, and I still doubt the star striker.

Naturally, Bayern hopes he regains his form, as discussions are on the horizon, and I believe they’re not far off. If I dominate against Leverkusen and Villa, I expect one of the top players in the game to generate a scoring chance from nothing within 90 minutes and pose a goal threat. That’s not the impression he’s giving right now.

Hamann appears to enjoy offering unfounded criticism of world-class Bayern strikers, often becoming a target for backlash from club officials. For example, in 2019, he called Lewandowski ‘a problem’ for Bayern.

When asked about Hamann’s remarks on Kane, Max Eberl aptly responded to the former player’s frequent criticism of Bayern players this season. “Didi Hamann is like tinnitus in your ear. It shows up every three days.” (via @iMiaSanMia)

Kane hasn’t commented on the remarks, and it’s unlikely he will, especially since Eberl has repeatedly silenced Hamann. This will be a recurring issue this season—unless Hamann realizes his role.

Eberl: Bayern Must Push Limits vs. Eintracht Frankfurt

Bayern Munich’s board member for sport, Max Eberl, is not worried about the team’s consecutive winless games against Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga and Aston Villa in the Champions League.

“Leverkusen and Villa, games that we would win if we played them more often. The results were not the reward for the work we did. You can’t lose that game against Villa. The only thing we can criticize against Villa was that we were at 95-96 percent. We all have to push ourselves to the absolute limit. We have to do the same in Frankfurt. The stakes are high there. We will face a similar intensity to the one we faced in Villa Park,” said Eberl (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).

The Bavarians will have a significant opportunity to regain their winning form when they face Eintracht Frankfurt this Sunday. However, they will have to tackle this challenge without the talented Jamal Musiala, which could complicate their efforts. While this match isn’t strictly categorized as a “must win,” it holds considerable importance for Bayern. Securing all three points is essential if they want to keep a comfortable distance between themselves and Die Adler and other contenders in the Bundesliga standings.

A victory would enhance their confidence and reinforce their status as serious title challengers this season. The team understands the stakes involved as they prepare for this crucial encounter. Winning against Frankfurt could be a pivotal moment in their campaign, allowing them to regain momentum and assert dominance in the league. Thus, the players must deliver a top-notch performance to fulfill their objectives and keep their competitive advantage.
