Top Contenders Emerge for Kingsley Coman, Including Al Ahli Jeddah

Kingsley Coman is drawing significant interest from several top clubs as Bayern Munich looks to offload the French winger. Al Ahli Jeddah is among the prominent contenders, showing keen interest in the out-of-favor Bayern star. With Coman being transfer-listed, various teams are exploring the possibility of signing him, and Al Ahli Jeddah is actively engaged in negotiations. The situation has sparked considerable attention across the football world, highlighting Coman’s potential move to a new club and the dynamic transfer activity surrounding him.

Top contenders surface for Kingsley Coman as talks begin for transfer-listed Bayern Munich star

A leading contender to sign Kingsley Coman has reportedly ‘initiated contact’ with the Bayern Munich star.

Kingsley Coman, one of football’s top players, is likely nearing the end of his time at Bayern Munich. The club is ready to sell him this summer since he no longer fits into the plans of new manager Vincent Kompany.

Many teams are expected to show interest in Coman, but Barcelona is currently leading the race to sign him. As news of his possible move spreads, it’s clear that several clubs are keen to add him to their roster.

Reports suggest that Barcelona has contacted Coman’s representatives to explore a potential move.

Hansi Flick is keen to strengthen his squad with a wide player and is a big admirer of Coman, having previously worked with him at Bayern.

However, Coman is viewed as a low priority for Barcelona.

On Friday, the Spanish giants sealed a £51 million deal for Dani Olmo from RB Leipzig. Yet, they remain determined in their chase for Nico Williams.

Williams, who shone for Spain at Euro 2024, will likely remain at Athletic Bilbao. However, Barcelona is still working to clear wage space to make a last-minute bid potentially.

To ease the situation, Bayern is willing to loan out Coman.

Even if Barcelona doesn’t secure Williams or Coman, they still need to raise at least £40 million within the next week to register several key players, including Olmo, for La Liga.

Paris Saint-Germain is also keen on signing Coman as they seek to replace Kylian Mbappe. Coman departed PSG in 2014 to join Juventus before moving to Bayern.

Al Ahli Jeddah is interested in Bayern Munich’s out-of-favor player

It has been revealed that Bayern Munich is ready to let Coman leave this summer to raise money for new signings, including Stade Rennes’ starlet Désiré Doué.

Premier League champions Manchester City are reportedly monitoring the situation. Pep Guardiola might use Coman’s circumstances to lure him to the Etihad Stadium.

Also competing for the Frenchman is Saudi powerhouse Al Ahli Jeddah, which, according to Attacking Football, has reportedly begun talks with Bayern Munich to sign the winger.

Al Ahli urgently needs to replace Allan Saint-Maximin, who recently left for Turkey. Brazilian forward Richarlison, who isn’t interested in moving to Saudi Arabia, has also turned them down.

The Jeddah-based club has yet to make any signings this summer. Adding Coman would be crucial for their upcoming season, especially as they compete in the AFC Champions League.

Coman joined Bayern Munich from Juventus in July 2017. In his seven years in Germany, he has won every major trophy available.

The 28-year-old scored the winning goal in the 2020 Champions League final and has since claimed eight Bundesliga titles, a Club World Cup, a European Super Cup, three German Cups, and six German Super Cups.

Before his time in Germany, Coman played for PSG and Juventus, winning two league titles with each club and securing the 2021 UEFA Nations League.
