Félix made a notable impact during his six-month loan at Chelsea in the 2022-23 season, netting four goals in 20 matches. Last season, he was on loan at Barcelona, scoring ten goals in 44 appearances.

“The good thing about Joao is that he can play in different positions. He can play inside, he can play as a [number] nine, he can play outside,” Maresca said.
On Thursday, Chelsea faces Swiss team Servette in the Europa Conference League playoff stage, followed by a Premier League match against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday.
