Chris Sutton: £22m Spurs Star May Trouble West Ham

Tottenham must recover from their 3-2 defeat to Brighton, while Julen Lopetegui looks to gain momentum after a slow start in east London.

Lopetegui’s position at West Ham has already been questioned, but a victory over their London rivals would go a long way in helping the new manager gain stability and momentum.

Sadly, defeating Tottenham is far easier to say than to achieve.

Spurs have had an inconsistent season, though they’ve shown strong performances at times, making them the favorites heading into this match.

On the Fantasy 606 Podcast, Chris Sutton previewed this weekend’s Premier League matches and expressed his desire to have Heung-Min Son in his fantasy team, stating that the South Korean forward could create major issues for West Ham.

Chris Sutton Claims Heung-Min Son Could Trouble West Ham

Sutton gave his opinion on the players who might impress this weekend.

As expected, the pundit suggested that Erling Haaland could score once more and also backed Ollie Watkins to shine against Fulham.

Sutton also predicted Son would shine against West Ham, questioning whether the Hammers’ defense is strong enough to handle the £22m forward.

“I would have Haaland, then who have Villa got? Fulham? I would get Watkins in 100%. I would also go for Sonny; it’s West Ham; can West Ham defend?” Sutton said.

Is Heung-Min Son Available to Play Against West Ham?

Sutton has predicted that Son will trouble West Ham, but is the South Korean ready to play in this match?

Son has been sidelined for recent Spurs matches due to injury, but fortunately, he is set to return and be fit for this game.

Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that Son will be available for this match, with Wilson Odobert being the only player missing.

Tottenham should be able to play their best XI against West Ham, giving them a strong chance of securing a victory.

Paul Merson has backed the Spurs in winning this match, and if Son performs to his usual standard, Tottenham will have a great chance of earning three points.

In Tottenham’s opening UEFA Europa League match against Qarabag, Son Heung-min picked up an unfortunate injury. Initially, it was unclear how severe the injury was, but before the October international break, he was sidelined for five matches with Spurs.

Additionally, Son Heung-min was absent from South Korea despite being their standout player.

What Injury Is Son Heung-min Recovering From?

Son Heung-min is dealing with a hamstring injury, which he sustained during Tottenham’s Europa League match against Qarabag. As a result, he has missed three games for the Spurs.

When Is Son Heung-min Expected to Return from Injury?

Ange Postecoglou confirmed in a media interview today that Son Heung-min has fully recovered from his previous injury. The Australian manager mentioned that although Son was disappointed to miss international duty, he is now “good to go.”

In his own words, Postecoglou said: “Sonny is good. He’s worked hard these two weeks. He was obviously very disappointed to miss playing for his national team, but I think it’s been good for him these two weeks. He’s worked really hard and had a solid training week, and yeah, he can’t wait to get back out there. He’s good to go.”

A huge advantage for Tottenham, to put it mildly.

Who Might Replace Son Heung-min at Tottenham?

In Son Heung-min’s absence, Ange Postecoglou has chosen a front three consisting of Brennan Johnson, Dominic Solanke, and Dejan Kulusevski.

It’s worth noting that Ange Postecoglou faces a welcome dilemma. He may need to adjust his formation to accommodate all of his players. Under normal circumstances, Brennan Johnson might be left out, but he’s currently in exceptional form.
