Carlo Ancelotti speaks out about Jude Bellingham’s future

Jude Bellingham shined on the global stage in his debut season with Real Madrid. After joining from Borussia Dortmund, he had immense potential, and now he’s equipped with everything needed to surpass it. With Carlo Ancelotti, one of the world’s top managers, guiding him, Bellingham is set to reach even greater heights next season.

Jude Bellingham is a strong candidate for the Ballon d’Or this year. Real Madrid, known for its history of Ballon d’Or winners, could potentially surpass Barcelona in total wins. But Bellingham will have tough competition from his own teammates, Vinicius Junior and Dani Carvajal.

Looking beyond 2024, what does the future hold for Jude Bellingham? It’s bound to be promising, but Real Madrid fans hope it stays bright in the club’s Royal White jersey and nowhere else.

Carlo Ancelotti shares his thoughts on Jude Bellingham’s future

BBC Sport reports that Carlo Ancelotti has told the media he envisions a bright and promising future for Jude Bellingham at Real Madrid. In an interview with the English broadcaster, Ancelotti stated:

“Nothing changes [after Mbappe arrives] for [Bellingham]. Nothing changes. The first season, he surprised a lot, because he showed fantastic quality, a really mature guy. The next season will not be different. He is going to be one of the best players that we have, supporting a lot the team with his quality.”

Everyone is wondering how Kylian Mbappe’s arrival will affect the Real Madrid squad. After winning the treble last season, it’s common for a superstar signing to lead to changes. Clearly, Mbappe is joining Real Madrid to be a regular starter, not to warm the bench. As a result, someone from last season’s team will need to make way.

However, Carlo Ancelotti has suggested that changes extend beyond just the attack. He’s mentioned that he plans to feature Rodrygo, Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Junior, and Kylian Mbappe in the attack. This wouldn’t be unexpected given Ancelotti’s tactical approach, which emphasizes versatility, fluidity, and unpredictability.

After much anticipation, Mbappe finally joined Los Blancos this summer, leaving Paris Saint-Germain at the end of his contract.

Bellingham was crucial for Madrid last season, scoring 23 goals and making 13 assists in all competitions. His efforts helped the team win the La Liga, Champions League, and Supercopa titles.

At 21, Bellingham mainly played as an attacking midfielder with Birmingham City and Borussia Dortmund. However, during the 2023/24 season, he frequently took on a more forward position, sometimes even playing as a No.9.

Mbappe’s arrival challenges Ancelotti as he integrates the French star into the team alongside Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo, Bellingham, and the new signing Endryk.

For Bellingham, Ancelotti assures that things will remain unchanged and continue as usual.

Ancelotti commends Bellingham and England’s performance in Euro 2024

Bellingham scored twice to lead England to the Euro 2024 final this summer, where they ultimately lost 2-1 to Spain.

His most memorable moment was surely the overhead kick he scored in the dying moments of their round-of-16 match against Slovakia. That goal tied the game and sent it into extra time, where Harry Kane later netted the winning goal.

Despite having immense attacking talent, Bellingham, Gareth Southgate, and the England team faced significant criticism from fans and pundits throughout the tournament for their underwhelming performances and struggles in several matches.

However, Ancelotti sees things differently, praising both Bellingham and England for their performance in Germany.

“This is an opinion, but Bellingham played really well at the Euros,” said Ancelotti when asked about criticism of the England midfielder following some of his performances at the European Championship.”

“England played really well; they reached the final and were close to winning it.”
