Dani Olmo’s potential return to Barcelona has been hailed by his agent as the best possible move, while the club also looks to extend the contracts of three key players through 2030. The focus is on securing the long-term future of these players, ensuring the core of the team remains intact for years to come.
Agent Calls Dani Olmo’s Barca Return His Best Deal
Many tales involving FC Barcelona and its players could be considered fairytales. Due to the club’s prestigious reputation, it’s a dream for many players to don Barcelona’s colors. However, not every talented player gets the chance to fulfill that dream of representing the club.
For some, it’s a dream they can proudly say they’ve achieved, unlike those who didn’t. For nearly every La Masia talent, playing for the Barcelona first team is a goal they must achieve to succeed through the youth system.
While a few exceptional players make it straight from the academy to the first team, others must follow a different path. Dani Olmo is one such example. The summer signing from RB Leipzig impressed me with his high level of play and made him a key player for Hansi Flick’s Barcelona.
For Dani Olmo’s agent, Andy Bara, the player’s unique path was equally rewarding. As noted by SPORT, the Croatian agent revealed that it was his choice to persuade Olmo’s parents to allow the transfer from La Masia to Croatian club Dinamo Zagreb, a decision that many found difficult to understand.

For Bara, however, it was essential for the player’s growth, and his parents agreed only because they had confidence in him.
“They trusted me and accepted the path I proposed to them. Thanks to my contacts at Dinamo, I knew we would do well and, in a certain sense, I could control the situation. Dani could develop as a footballer and have the opportunity to play. And everything worked out well. First, it was at Dinamo, then at RB Leipzig, and now, at Barcelona and the Spanish national team. It’s working out very well.”
The agent of the Barcelona star admitted that his return to the Catalan club is the most fulfilling deal he has completed to date when asked to confirm it.
“Looking at it as a whole, given how atypical the journey was, yes (because it was a round-trip journey). Dinamo got him for free, and we made a lot of money with the later transfer to RB Leipzig for €35 million. Then, another big transfer, for over €50 million to Barcelona.”
Barcelona Set to Extend Contracts of 3 Players to 2030
Barcelona’s top officials have already started working on securing new contracts for three key players in the club’s first-team squad.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Gavi, Pedri, and Ronald Araújo are the three players in question.

Currently, all three players are set to have their contracts in Barcelona expire in the summer of 2026.
Barcelona, determined to avoid any of the players entering the final year of their contracts without an extension, are actively negotiating new terms with them and their representatives.
Deco and the team hope that all three players will eventually sign contracts lasting through 2030.
Both Pedri and Gavi are expected to remain at Barcelona long-term, with the intention to stay in Blaugrana for the foreseeable future.
Defender Araújo’s situation is less certain, but there is a sense that he is now more inclined to renew his contract, following the doubts he had last winter.
