Osasuna’s Manager Calls Barcelona La Liga’s Best Team

Barcelona is heading to Pamplona this weekend to face CA Osasuna at El Sadar on Saturday night.

This sets the stage for an intriguing matchup. Barcelona has won all its La Liga games this season, while Osasuna remains unbeaten at home.

Consequently, Osasuna manager Vicente Moreno described tomorrow’s match at El Sadar as “a very strong team at home against the best team in La Liga,” commending Barcelona for their impressive start.

Moreno continued by stating that his team must play flawlessly to have a chance of beating Hansi Flick’s squad tomorrow night, calling the matchup “very difficult.”

“To have a chance of winning, we have to play a practically perfect game. We’re going to need our fans, every single one of the club’s employees and, even so, it will be difficult. We have to hold on to our chances,” he said.

The Osasuna head coach added: “We know where they can hurt you, and we’re going to try to reduce those chances. You have to be good and not let them have their best day. You can’t focus everything on one player.”

When asked whether Osasuna would aim for a win against Barcelona or be content with a draw, Moreno responded:

“Whenever you don’t manage to win, being able to get points also helps you. It’s much better than not getting points, without a doubt. We have to see it as an opportunity.”

Discussing the strategy his team would employ against the Blaugrana tomorrow night, the Osasuna coach stated:

“We’re not going to try to make any changes, at least not in our approach at the start. It’s unwise not to put ourselves on notice of where the game might go.

“We can live with the illusion that we can play 90 minutes inside Barcelona’s box, but that’s not real. We have our feet on the ground, but we want to be important.”

When asked if competing against a club of Barcelona’s caliber provides extra motivation for his players, Moreno replied:

“It motivates us to play against any rival, but you can’t put on a profile that this type of rival can generate something special in the players.”

Barcelona Youngster Seeks Minutes at a Special Ground

After over a year, Ansu Fati made his return to FC Barcelona last week, coming off the bench against AS Monaco in the UEFA Champions League.

The 21-year-old hadn’t played for the club since August of last year, having spent the previous season on loan at Brighton & Hove Albion before suffering an injury during pre-season in the summer.

Manager Hansi Flick has praised the 21-year-old attacking talent. However, he seems hesitant to give him playing time, as Fati did not appear in the last two matches against Villarreal and Getafe.

Ansu Fati Hoping to Feature vs Osasuna

Mundo Deportivo reports that Ansu Fati is eager for Flick to grant him some playing time when Barcelona faces CA Osasuna at El Sadar on Saturday night.

The weekend match is significant for Ansu as he returns to El Sadar, where he scored his first goal for Barça.

In fact, on August 31, 2019, at just 16 years and 304 days old, Fati netted his first La Liga goal in a 2-2 draw against Osasuna.

That goal made him the youngest player to score in Barcelona’s history and the third youngest in La Liga’s history, etching his name into the record books of Spanish football.

That goal offered a preview of the young forward’s potential meteoric rise. He has since been recognized as one of the brightest talents in world football.

However, injuries have slowed his progress in recent years. After several knee surgeries and facing muscle problems, Fati is working to regain his best form under Flick.

The La Masia talent hopes to shine during his return to El Sadar, a stadium filled with cherished memories for him.
