Barcelona, PSG Eye Kvaratskhelia as Man Utd Target Leaves PSG

Barcelona and PSG are closely monitoring Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s situation as contract talks with Napoli stall, while both clubs show strong interest in the Georgian star. Meanwhile, Manchester United and Newcastle are eyeing a potential move for a PSG player who is reportedly set to leave due to a strained relationship with manager Luis Enrique, as he remains sidelined in favor of a false No. 9.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Napoli are still in discussions for a contract extension, but Gazzetta reports that they have yet to reach an agreement on salary and release clause. Meanwhile, PSG and Barcelona continue to show interest.

Napoli is aiming to extend Kvaratskhelia’s contract past 2027, but discussions with the player and his agent, Mamuka Jugeli, have yet to result in an agreement.

Gazzetta dello Sport’s latest report reveals that the key sticking point in negotiations is Kvaratskhelia’s release clause. Napoli is pushing for it to be set at €100m, while the players’ representatives prefer a figure closer to €80m.

Gazzetta reports that Kvara is asking for a salary under €8m per season.

The Georgian star currently earns only €1.5m per season, with Napoli offering €5m plus add-ons, bringing him closer to the team’s highest-paid player, Romelu Lukaku, who earns €6m annually.

Negotiations are set to resume in the coming days when President Aurelio de Laurentiis returns from the USA.

Napoli are aware of Barcelona and PSG’s interest and previously turned down a €100m offer from the Ligue 1 club last summer.

Man Utd, Newcastle Target to Leave PSG for Key Reason

Randal Kolo Muani seems out of favor, as PSG manager Luis Enrique shows little intention of making him the starting No. 9. Additionally, a journalist has revealed a tense relationship between the coach and player.

With only 416 minutes played across all competitions so far, rumors of a potential January departure are growing.

There has been recent speculation about a possible Premier League move for the 2022 FIFA World Cup runner-up, with Manchester United said to be showing significant interest, according to a report from CaughtOffside last month.

According to TBR Football, intermediaries have reached out to multiple Premier League clubs, including Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Aston Villa, and Newcastle United, to assess interest in Kolo Muani.

Reasons Why Randal Kolo Muani Is Set to Leave PSG Soon

In an interview with France Bleu Paris, journalist Abdellah Boulma shed light on why Randal Kolo Muani is likely to leave Paris Saint-Germain soon. Boulma pointed out that the French striker has fallen out of favor with manager Luis Enrique, who has consistently opted for a false No. 9 rather than using Kolo Muani in the central forward role. Despite the striker’s potential, Enrique seems to have little interest in incorporating him into the starting lineup, which has led to speculation about his future at the club.

Boulma also discussed the implications of this situation, suggesting that Kolo Muani’s lack of playing time could prompt him to seek a move away from PSG. With the manager not favoring him and competition for places in the squad intensifying, the French forward might decide to pursue opportunities elsewhere. This situation has sparked rumors of a potential January exit, with several clubs reportedly keeping an eye on the situation.

“I think it will be beneficial for both parties and for Luis Enrique, who doesn’t trust him,” Boulma told the outlet (h/t Le10Sport). “It would be reasonable for him to leave.”
