Juventus Sets Price as PSG Targets Fagioli and Acheampong

Juventus has set a €35 million price tag on midfielder Nicolo Fagioli as PSG ramps up its pursuit of the 22-year-old, with the French club reportedly eager to secure his services either in January or the summer. Meanwhile, PSG is also intensifying its interest in Chelsea’s Josh Acheampong, who has become a highly sought-after prospect amid a contract standoff with the London club. Acheampong has attracted attention from several top clubs, including Real Madrid and Liverpool, due to his impressive performances for England’s U-19s. With both Juventus and Chelsea facing potential exits of key young talents, PSG is looking to strengthen its squad with promising midfield and defensive reinforcements.

Juventus Sets Price as PSG Ramps Up Midfielder Chase

According to a report from Tuttojuve, Juventus has put the 22-year-old midfielder up for sale, setting his asking price at €35 million. The club views this sale as a way to fund crucial defensive upgrades. Although Fagioli hasn’t been a regular starter, Juventus is confident in his value and believes they can secure a solid fee for him. PSG, renowned for targeting young talent, is said to be the front-runner, with the possibility of a move in either January or the summer.

Selling Fagioli would be a calculated gamble for Juventus. The midfielder is highly regarded for his potential and could develop into a top player with the right opportunities. However, his limited role under Motta suggests he might benefit from a move to a club where his growth can be more fully realized. PSG, known for developing talent and offering a competitive environment, could provide the perfect setting for the Italian to thrive.

If Fagioli makes the move to Paris, he is likely to receive more playing time and a more defined role in the team. For Juventus, the transfer would provide funds to strengthen their defense, which remains a priority. While parting with young talent is always difficult, the transfer could prove beneficial for both sides, representing a key moment in Fagioli’s career progression.

PSG Intensify Interest in Chelsea’s Josh Acheampong

Paris Saint-Germain have increased their interest in Josh Acheampong, becoming the latest club to challenge Chelsea’s efforts to retain their young talent. The 18-year-old is in a contract dispute with t the London club since his current contract is set to expire in 18 months. Meanwhile, he has gone three months without featuring in the first team.

This has only heightened interest from several clubs, including Real Madrid and Liverpool. Newcastle United, Borussia Dortmund, and PSG have also sent scouts to watch Acheampong in action for England’s U-19s, which has become the prime platform to track his development. The fact that he continues to receive call-ups to the national team, despite his situation at Chelsea, is seen as a testament to his quality.

Last week, Acheampong played a key role in helping England secure qualification for the ‘Elite’ round of the U-19 European Championships in March 2025, following victories over Lithuania and Bulgaria, along with a draw against Belgium.

All the interested clubs are considering long-term plans for the right-back position, with Madrid even prepared to make a move in January due to injuries to Dani Carvajal and Eder Militao. Should that occur, PSG would rival Madrid’s pursuit, as they see Acheampong as the perfect young backup for Achraf Hakimi.

The situation has been particularly frustrating for the player, especially considering Chelsea’s own struggles at right-back, with manager Enzo Maresca revealing on Thursday that Reece James had picked up another injury.

The club has maintained that Acheampong is not for sale, seeing him as part of their future. However, this stance is undermined by the fact that he has now spent three months effectively sidelined.
