Inter Legend Praises Iran's Star; Clubs Avoid Punishment

Inter Milan legend Altobelli has expressed admiration for Iranian star Taremi, highlighting his impressive performance since moving to Europe. Meanwhile, Inter and AC Milan are expected to avoid sporting punishment in the ongoing ultras scandal. However, they may still face fines, similar to an incident involving Juventus.

According to FCInterNews, Altobelli praised the 32-year-old Inter striker in an interview featured in today’s Tuttosport, a Turin-based newspaper.

Iranian international Taremi has never had a higher profile than he does now.

At 32 years old, Taremi transferred to Inter from Porto.

This was the most significant transfer of the veteran striker’s career. He has been successful at every club he’s played for, but the Nerazzurri will present his most formidable challenge yet.

During his four years at Porto, Taremi built a solid reputation in both the Portuguese and the Champions League.

Before joining Porto, Taremi spent a season at Rio Ave. This was his debut season in Europe and demonstrated the impact he could have on the continent.

Taremi had a remarkable career before coming to Europe, though.

The Iranian international began his career in his home country and became an essential player for the Iranian powerhouse Persepolis.

Before moving to Europe with Rio Ave, Taremi played for Al-Gharafa in Qatar.

During that time, former Inter striker Altobelli first noticed Taremi while working as a pundit for the Middle Eastern broadcaster Al Jazeera.

Altobelli noted that “Everyone discovered him while he was with Porto.”

“I’d actually already seen him in Qatar, at Al-Gharafa,” the former striker noted.

“When he was playing there, I wasn’t necessarily asking myself if he was going to go to a top club,” Altobelli said of Taremi. “But I can assure you, you could already see how hood he was.”

“It was clear that he could play in Europe.”

“Now, of course, we’re talking about him playing at Inter, one of the best teams in the world.”

Altobelli said, “For me, Taremi is a player who can have his say.”

“He’ll need playing time. But we’ve already seen that the coach and the club have faith in him.”

“He’s at the beginning of his Nerazzurri journey,” Altobelli noted of Taremi. “He’s only played one full match for us.”

Inter, AC Milan Avoid Punishment in Ultras Scandal

Reports suggest the clubs may face fines similar to those of Juventus in 2017.

Inter and Milan’s ultras groups, the Curva Nord and Curva Sud, are involved in yet another scandal.

Earlier this week, prosecutors arrested nineteen members of the two groups.

These arrests were related to suspected illegal ticket sales. There are also claims of connections between members of the two clubs’ ultras groups and mafia organizations.

Naturally, those involved face serious legal consequences.

However, the question remains about the potential consequences for Inter and Milan.

The Nerazzurri and the Rossoneri are not directly linked to their ultras groups. However, they could still face repercussions if it’s determined that their actions aided the ultras’ illegal activities.

No Sporting Punishment for Inter and AC Milan in Ultras Case – Fines Possible.

It has already been confirmed that Inter and Milan are not under investigation for any criminal activities.

An investigation is underway to assess whether the clubs have implemented adequate measures to cut ties with the ultras.

However, the question remains about whether the two clubs could face sporting penalties.

The Nerazzurri and the Rossoneri may be concerned about the potential for points deductions or other penalties.

However, according to the Gazzetta, that is not expected to happen.

There is a specific precedent in this regard.

In 2017, a similar scandal occurred involving the ultras of Juventus, a Serie A rival of Inter and Milan.

In that instance, prosecutors imposed a €600,000 fine on the Bianconeri. Furthermore, the Curva Sud section of the Allianz Stadium was closed for one match.

There is certainly a chance that Inter and Milan could receive a similar punishment.

However, the Gazzetta reports that there is no possibility of sporting sanctions.
