Juventus Considers Position Changes as Attacks Struggle

Juventus is navigating a challenging phase as they consider new strategies to enhance their attacking performance. With Kenan Yildiz potentially shifting to a different position, the club hopes to find a spark amid ongoing struggles in front of goal. The situation is further complicated by injuries to key players Arkadiusz Milik and Francisco Conceicao, leaving the squad needing fresh options. While Milik’s return remains uncertain, Conceicao is expected to rejoin the team soon, which could provide a much-needed boost in their upcoming fixtures.

Juventus Eyes New Position for Kenan Yildiz

Juventus coach Thiago Motta is reportedly considering trying his young talent Kenan Yildiz in a new position.

The 19-year-old first made a name for himself as a second striker. Still, he has primarily been utilized as a left winger this season, yielding mixed results.

Although he enjoyed some success against PSV Eindhoven, scoring a brilliant goal by cutting in from the left to the center, he had difficulty making an impact against Napoli’s tight defensive setup over the weekend.

According to Tuttosport via IlBianconero, Yildiz may be tested as a false Number 9.

Dusan Vlahovic has been struggling lately, having scored just two goals against Hellas Verona since the season began.

As a result, the coach might experiment with Yildiz in this role, hoping for outcomes similar to those from his Joshua Zirkzee experiment during his time at Bologna.

Many fans are concerned that the Serbian may not be the best fit for Motta’s tactical system as a center-forward.

The Dutchman thrived under the Italo-Brazilian manager’s leadership. Although he was listed as a striker, he frequently dropped deeper to assist his teammates in buildup play and create space for others to take advantage of in the attacking third.

This performance led to a lucrative transfer for the 23-year-old to Manchester United last summer.

It remains to be seen whether coach Thiago Motta will be willing to decide to bench Dusan Vlahovic—the highest-paid player in the league— to facilitate this intriguing experiment with Kenan Yildiz. Vlahovic has been a key figure for Juventus, and his significant salary reflects the expectations placed upon him. However, with the team’s attacking struggles, Motta might need to explore alternative strategies to reignite their offense. The decision to sideline a player of Vlahovic’s caliber could stir discussions among fans and analysts alike, highlighting the delicate balance between sticking with established stars and experimenting with fresh tactics to achieve better results on the pitch.

Juventus Awaits Milik and Conceicao as Attacks Falter

Juventus is currently grappling with major attacking issues, which are impacting both its overall output and Dusan Vlahovic’s individual performances. The absence of crucial players in the attack worsens this predicament. Arkadiusz Milik and Francisco Conceicao are the only two currently out due to injuries, leaving Vlahovic without suitable substitutes since the season began.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Milik’s recovery from injury is still being postponed. The Polish striker, who had surgery on the medial meniscus of his left knee before the European Championship, is still feeling pain. There were hopes for his return in time for recent matches, with the Juventus-Napoli game highlighted as a possible comeback date. However, those plans have been abandoned, and Milik is expected to miss more upcoming matches. Manager Thiago Motta will likely have to wait until the mid-October international break to have Milik back in the squad.

The situation with Conceicao is not as problematic. The new Juventus signing sustained an injury during training after his debut against Roma. The winger is anticipated to return to action reasonably soon. Although he is uncertain for the upcoming match against Genoa, Conceicao is expected to be fit for the following Champions League game against RB Leipzig on October 2nd.
