Juventus Eye Milan Skriniar and David Hancko This Winter

Juventus are actively pursuing defensive reinforcements this winter, with Milan Skriniar of Paris Saint-Germain and David Hancko of Feyenoord topping their shortlist. The Bianconeri are looking to strengthen their backline after Gleison Bremer’s long-term injury, and both players are seen as key targets. While Skriniar could provide immediate support, Hancko, under contract until 2028, would likely come at a higher price, though Juventus are hopeful their strong relationship with Feyenoord will help facilitate a deal.

Juventus Eye Milan Skriniar Transfer This Winter

Serie A powerhouse Juventus are considering signing Milan Skriniar as a temporary fix for Gleison Bremer’s injury.

As per Giovanni Albanese of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are targeting Paris Saint-Germain’s Milan Skriniar this winter to ease the defensive burden caused by the injuries to Gleison Bremer and Juan Cabal.

The Bianconeri are reluctant to spend during the mid-season and are thus open to signing the Slovak international on loan, which would also give him the chance to revive his career after being largely sidelined at PSG.

Sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has begun looking for a permanent fix to Juventus’ defensive issues, as players like Danilo and Bremer are expected to be excluded from next season’s plans. As part of their long-term strategy, the Turin club has set their sights on Fulham’s Joachim Andersen and Tottenham’s Radu Dragusin for the summer transfer window.

Juventus Set Their Sights on Feyenoord’s David Hancko

Feyenoord defender David Hancko is a key target for Juventus. As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport and Voetbal Primeur, the Turin club plans to search for a central defender in January, with the Slovakian being a prominent option.

The Old Lady will enter the market following Gleison Bremer’s torn cruciate ligament injury, which will keep him out for the remainder of the season.

Hancko is reportedly at the top of the list, with other names such as Paris Saint-Germain’s Milan Skriniar, Kevin Danso of RC Lens, Tottenham’s Radu Dragusin, Bayer Leverkusen’s Jonathan Tah, and Fulham’s Joachim Andersen also being considered.

It remains to be seen whether Feyenoord will allow the 26-year-old to depart, and if so, for how much. The Rotterdammers worked hard this summer to prevent the Slovakian from joining Atletico Madrid, and they ultimately succeeded.

Hancko has been a consistent starter since joining in 2022 and is under contract until the summer of 2028. Transfermarkt values him at 35 million euros, but Feyenoord will likely demand a higher fee for the center-back.

Although the transfer fee remains a point of uncertainty between Feyenoord and Juventus, the Turin club remains hopeful that their solid relationship with the Dutch side will play a crucial role in advancing negotiations. Juventus are aware that Feyenoord will likely drive a hard bargain, especially considering Hancko’s current contract running until 2028. However, their optimism is rooted in past dealings, including the successful loan move of Facundo Gonzalez to Feyenoord last summer. This deal, which included an option to buy, is believed to have strengthened the ties between the two clubs, paving the way for smoother discussions.

Hancko has been a prominent target for Juventus for several months, with the club seeing him as a valuable addition to their defense. The Slovakian defender has impressed since joining Feyenoord, becoming a regular starter and helping solidify the team’s backline. Despite the financial hurdles, Juventus are confident that their positive relationship with Feyenoord will help them secure Hancko at a fair price, allowing them to bolster their defense in the upcoming transfer window.
