Juventus is facing challenges in their pursuit of Udinese’s star defender, with financial and tactical considerations making the deal complicated. Meanwhile, Thiago Motta has decided to skip the highly anticipated Milan-Napoli match, opting to spend time with his family ahead of Juventus’ crucial Serie A game against Parma.
Juventus Faces Hurdles in Pursuit of Udinese’s Star
Juventus is searching for a new center-back to fill the void left by Gleison Bremer’s injury—a key loss that puts pressure on the club to sustain their strong form. Despite their impressive Serie A run, the defensive setback has exposed vulnerabilities, leading Juventus to prioritize finding a solid replacement in the January transfer window. While PSG’s Milan Skriniar stands out as a top choice, his high salary and potential transfer fees make him a tough financial option. As a result, Juventus is now considering alternatives, including Udinese’s talented defender, Jaka Bijol.
Bijol’s strong performances at Udinese have drawn interest from several leading Serie A clubs. Known for his strength, tactical insight, and positional awareness, he has become a valuable defensive presence in Italy’s top league, making him an appealing choice for Juventus as they seek both immediate stability and future potential in their defense. Juventus has been closely watching his development, seeing him as a good fit for their needs. However, as reported by Il Bianconero, signing him won’t be an easy task.
The main hurdle for Juventus in their bid for Bijol is Udinese’s condition to loan him only if Juventus commits to a purchase obligation next summer. This stipulation presents a challenge for Juventus, as they are keeping a close watch on their budget, especially considering the potential long-term financial commitment. Furthermore, Juventus wants to confirm that Bijol’s playing style complements Thiago Motta’s tactical setup. While Bijol has excelled in Udinese’s formation, Juventus is evaluating if he can adapt smoothly to Motta’s unique requirements and strategies.
Juventus is confronted with a challenging decision here, needing to balance Bijol’s potential impact with financial constraints and tactical suitability, especially with the pressing need to strengthen their defense. Bijol presents an appealing option as a young, Serie A-proven talent who could add depth and stability, yet Juventus must carefully assess if he aligns well with Motta’s dynamic approach.
Juventus is focused on securing a defender who can make an immediate impact this season while also providing long-term value. Whether they opt for Bijol or another option, this decision will be pivotal as they work to strengthen their defense and maintain their position at the top of Serie A.
Thiago Motta Reveals Why He’ll Skip Milan-Napoli Match
Thiago Motta has revealed that he won’t be watching the much-anticipated Serie A clash between Milan and Napoli on Tuesday evening, opting instead to relax at home with his family when possible.
Why Thiago Motta Will Not Watch
Motta stated in his press conference that he doesn’t need to scout either Milan or Napoli right now. His Juventus team recently played a 0-0 draw with Napoli and won’t face Milan until the end of November.
Instead, he intends to relax at home with his family before Juventus’ crucial match on Wednesday evening.
“I won’t watch it; I’ll have dinner at home with the members of my family who are here; I want to be happy with them,” Motta shared during his Tuesday press conference.
He continued: “Milan is far away, and we’ve already faced Napoli, so I won’t watch the match.”
Juventus will be back in Serie A action on Wednesday evening, hosting Parma at the Allianz Stadium.
