Juventus Sets Transfer Price, Deals Blow to Atalanta, and Luiz Reveals His Impressions

Juventus is making headlines with a series of significant moves. The club has set a transfer fee for their striker, drawing interest from foreign clubs eager to make a deal. In addition, Juventus is poised to deliver a double transfer blow to Atalanta, intensifying the rivalry between the two teams. Meanwhile, Douglas Luiz, a recent addition to Juventus, has shared his first impressions of the club, highlighting what has impressed him most since he arrived in Turin. These developments underscore Juventus’ active role in the transfer market and their strategic efforts to strengthen their squad.

Juventus sets a price as foreign clubs show interest in their striker

Filip Kostić’s injury at Euro 2024 was a major setback for Juventus, who had expected him to shine in the tournament and boost his transfer value once he returned.

The Serbian winger had a standout first season at the Allianz Stadium. Still, he needed help to get regular playing time in the following campaign.

With Federico Chiesa and Kenan Yildiz making it difficult for him to get game time, Juventus is no longer interested in keeping him and has put him on the list of players they want to sell.

Kostić is open to a move since he doesn’t fit Thiago Motta’s style, but there hasn’t been any formal interest in him so far.

However, this could change soon, as the Bianconeri have established a transfer fee for him.

Reports suggest Juventus aims to make about 8 million euros from his sale, and clubs such as Crystal Palace, Atlético Madrid, and Fenerbahçe are monitoring his situation at the Allianz Stadium.

Although none of these clubs have contacted Juventus, Kostić is still on their radar.

Juventus Set to Deal Atalanta a Double Transfer Blow

Juventus might strike another transfer setback to Atalanta by shifting their focus from Porto’s Galeno to Fiorentina winger Nicolas Gonzalez. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Thiago Motta’s team has targeted the Argentine as a replacement for Federico Chiesa, aiming to offload Chiesa’s wages from the club’s payroll.

As if secretly pursuing standout midfielder Teun Koopmeiners wasn’t enough, Juventus is now poised to add to Atalanta’s frustration by signing Gonzalez. Gian Piero Gasperini’s side is enraged by the Turin giants’ underhanded attempt to lure the Dutch playmaker to the Allianz Stadium.

Koopmeiners has skipped pre-season training after agreeing on personal terms with Juventus. While working tirelessly to drive up the price for the Atalanta star, the record-time Serie A champions are also eager to ramp up their efforts to sign Gonzalez despite facing competition from La Dea.

Gonzalez is keen on leaving Fiorentina after another season without trophies. Fiorentina is negotiating with Genoa to bring Albert Gudmundsson to the Stadio Artemio Franchi, knowing that Gonzalez wants to move on. Meanwhile, Juventus is ready to step in, but the former Stuttgart player won’t come cheap.

Juventus will probably need to spend around €30 million to secure Gonzalez’s signature. If the deal goes through, it would be another setback for Atalanta. This move won’t ease the tension between the two clubs, but Motta is determined to build a squad capable of winning the Scudetto.

Douglas Luiz shares what impressed him most after joining Juventus

Douglas Luiz has given his first interview as a Juventus player, addressing various questions.

The Brazilian was among the first signings for Juventus under Thiago Motta, moving from Aston Villa to the Allianz Stadium.

Juventus had been monitoring him for a while. Motta emphasized that Luiz was the crucial midfield player he needed for his new Juventus squad.

In his first interview as a Juventus player, Luiz spoke to the press and shared what impressed him the most upon arriving in Turin.

Luiz stated, as quoted:

“What impressed me the most is the greatness of this club. The stadium, the passion of the fans. That’s what impressed me the most. I’m very happy to be here; I believe it will be a very important season, so we’ll do everything and fight to achieve great results.”
