Juventus Star Backs Inter; Weah Out, Savona Returns

Juventus faces challenges ahead of their Serie A match against Genoa, with key player Timothy Weah ruled out due to an ankle sprain. Meanwhile, a positive note comes from Francisco Conceição’s return to group training, enhancing manager Thiago Motta’s attacking options. Savona has also rejoined full training, bolstering the midfield as Juventus aims to improve their recent form and secure a crucial victory against Genoa. Amidst these developments, a Juventus star has expressed confidence in Inter Milan as the season’s favorites for the title.

Juventus Star Sees Inter Milan as Serie A Favorites

The Nerazzurri have won just two matches in their opening five Serie A matches, winning 2-0 against Lecce and defeating Atalanta 4-0.

However, Simone Inzaghi’s team ended up with away draws against Genoa and Monza.

Last weekend, they faced a surprising 1-2 loss to crosstown rivals AC Milan despite being the heavy favorites going into the Derby della Madonnina.

Despite this, Locatelli maintains that the Italian champions are still the frontrunners to regain their Serie A title by the end of the season.

The 26-year-old believes the Nerazzurri possess the strongest squad in the Italian top division.

In his interview with Tuttosport via FcInterNews, the former Sassuolo player stated, “I believe Inter remain the favorites.”

“They have the most complete squad in the league.”

Juventus Star Manuel Locatelli Identifies Inter Milan As Scudetto Favorites

Nonetheless, Locatelli cautions that the Beneamata will face tough competition for the title, mentioning AC Milan, Napoli, and his club, Juventus, as challengers.

“But aside from Inter, there are other good teams, like Milan, who played a great derby, and Napoli.

“We also have a great team, so we must not hide from the conversation. But let’s take it one step at a time.”

In another regard, Locatelli mentioned that he is not surprised by Paolo Vanoli’s success at Torino.

“We have to congratulate Torino for being on top of the table. I know Vanoli from the youth national teams well, and he was a great coach even then.

“He had a good run in Serie B, and when he trained me, I thought he would surely get to the top. But I obviously hope that Il Toro doesn’t stay in the lead all season.”

Weah Out for Juventus; Savona and Conceição Train

Juventus is gearing up for their next Serie A clash with Genoa. Manager Thiago Motta aims to end a run of three straight goalless draws. However, the team has received mixed updates regarding injuries.

Sky Sport Italia reports that Timothy Weah will miss the match against Genoa due to a left ankle sprain. The American winger’s availability for next Wednesday’s Champions League game against RB Leipzig is also uncertain. This injury is particularly unfortunate for Juventus, which seeks to enhance its recent performance.

On a brighter note, Francisco Conceição has returned to group training, significantly boosting Motta’s attacking options. The young Portuguese winger, known for his flair and creativity, could play a crucial role in filling the void left by Weah’s injury. His capacity to link up with teammates and generate scoring opportunities may prove vital as Juventus looks to break their recent goal drought.

Additionally, Savona, who had been sidelined due to injury, has returned to full training with the squad. His recovery strengthens Juventus’ midfield options at a pivotal moment as they prepare for their upcoming match against Genoa. With Savona back in the mix, the team gains another dynamic player capable of contributing defensively and offensively. Together, these returns offer a promising outlook for Juventus as they aim to secure a much-needed victory and regain their momentum in Serie A.
