Juventus Targets Skriniar and Young Serbian Talent

Juventus is actively pursuing two key defensive targets to strengthen their squad. The club is eyeing Serbian teenager Andrija Maksimovic, a rising star at Red Star Belgrade, as part of their long-term plan to secure top young talent. Additionally, former Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar, who has struggled at PSG since his controversial move in January 2023, is reportedly ready to accept a move to Juventus. With interest from other top European leagues, Juventus is moving quickly to secure both players and enhance their defensive options.

Juventus Targets Exciting Young Serbian Talent

Juventus is actively searching the market for young talents to strengthen their squad and secure the future of the club. With manager Thiago Motta at the helm, there’s a strong focus on combining youth development with strategic recruitment. While some promising players are coming through Juve’s academy, the club is also scouting top prospects from around Europe. One such player reportedly under consideration is Serbian teenager Andrija Maksimovic.

At just 17, Maksimovic, who plays for Red Star Belgrade, has already made a significant impact with his impressive performances. Following a fruitful loan period the previous season, he emerged as one of the club’s key players and has since secured his place as a vital member of the team. His rapid rise has also earned him international recognition, with three appearances for the Serbian senior national team—a notable achievement for such a young talent.

According to a report from Tuttojuve, Juventus is closely monitoring Maksimovic and views him as a valuable investment for the future due to his exceptional talent and potential. However, securing his signature will be challenging, as several major European clubs are also tracking his progress. Juventus may use their connection with Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic, who could help convince Maksimovic to make Turin his next destination.

If Juventus manages to sign Maksimovic when he turns 18, it would be a smart move to secure a rising star early in his career. Thiago Motta has shown great skill in developing young talent, and Maksimovic could flourish under his mentorship. By adding him to their ranks, Juventus would further solidify their focus on long-term squad growth, blending seasoned professionals with emerging talent.

Skriniar Ready to Accept Juventus Offer After Inter Exit

According to today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport and FCInterNews.it, Slovakia international Milan Skriniar has been contacted by Juventus to potentially fill in for long-term injury absentees Gleison Bremer and Juan Cabal.

Skriniar has fallen out of favor at PSG and has struggled to make an impact in Ligue 1 since his contentious move in January 2023, which sparked frustration among Inter fans due to the manner of his departure.

The ex-Sampdoria defender is expected to face even more backlash from Inter fans if he joins Juventus, but Skriniar has already given his approval for a transfer to Allianz Stadium.

Although PSG is keen to offload the 29-year-old on a permanent basis, recent reports indicate that the French club is also open to loaning him out with the option for a future transfer. This move would allow PSG to reduce his wages from their payroll while keeping the door open for a potential sale down the line.

Skriniar’s situation has attracted attention from multiple top clubs across Europe, including teams from both the Premier League and the Bundesliga. His lack of impact at PSG since his controversial transfer has only increased interest from clubs looking to bolster their defensive options.

With several European sides circling, Juventus has acted quickly, sensing an opportunity to secure Skriniar’s services. The club is eager to strengthen their defense and has made swift moves to land the Slovakian international, who could play a key role in their backline.
