Marchisio: Juventus-Milan Crucial, Vlahovic Injury Update

Claudio Marchisio emphasized the importance of the upcoming Juventus-Milan clash, highlighting how crucial the match is for both teams’ season aspirations. The former Juventus midfielder also drew an interesting comparison between Teun Koopmeiners and club legend Pavel Nedved. Meanwhile, Juventus received good news regarding Dusan Vlahovic, as recent tests confirmed no serious injury after his scare during Serbia’s 0-0 draw with Denmark. Vlahovic is expected to be fit for the high-stakes Serie A match at San Siro on Saturday.

Marchisio: “Juventus-Milan crucial for both teams, Koopmeiners reminiscent of Nedved.”

Claudio Marchisio, the former Juventus midfielder and club legend, discussed several topics, including the upcoming Juventus-Milan match and Teun Koopmeiners’ role, at the unveiling of the Italian version of the Kings League.

Marchisio spoke about the Kings League’s rapid growth and its strong appeal to younger audiences. “Football has deep history and roots. The Kings League was created in 2022 and is achieving truly impressive numbers because it has positioned itself in the market, especially for new generations. We know very well that attention has changed; everything needs to be faster. In football, even the most interesting match always has its key moments and then sometimes slows down a bit. We see it in the stadiums too; sometimes people watch the game and get distracted by other things.”

When asked about the upcoming Juventus-Milan match, Marchisio made his loyalty clear. “You know which side I’m on. It will be a match, I hope, a very beautiful one, very important for both teams and for the standings, which are certainly very tight. At this moment, three points are very important, and they are even more so in direct confrontations. I can’t wait to see it.”

Marchisio also shared his thoughts on Teun Koopmeiners, making an interesting comparison.  “He himself has said that his role has changed a lot compared to Atalanta, not just in terms of position but also in how the team plays. From Gasperini to Thiago Motta, the change is evident. I’ve watched him, and he touches the ball much more. Today, the only thing he’s missing is finishing because he’s complete. He’s a player with weight, very important in this Juventus midfield, and he reminds me a bit of Pavel Nedved’s first year.”

Juventus Relieved After Vlahovic Injury Update

Juventus can relax as striker Dusan Vlahovic has been cleared of injury after limping off in Serbia’s 0-0 draw with Denmark on Monday night.

The Bianconeri forward returned to Turin and underwent a check-up at JMedical on Tuesday morning. The club has since confirmed that the tests revealed no injury, and the 24-year-old’s condition will be closely monitored daily.

Juventus Confirm Vlahovic Has No Serious Injury

“Following the left thigh muscle discomfort felt yesterday with his national team, Dusan Vlahovic underwent diagnostic tests today at JMedical. The tests ruled out injuries, and his condition will be monitored daily,” a statement on the club website read.

If he is cleared to train, Vlahovic is expected to be part of the squad for the eagerly awaited Serie A match between Juventus and Milan at San Siro on Saturday.

Thiago Motta faces additional injury challenges, as Bremer and Juan Cabal are out for the season with ACL injuries. Additionally, Douglas Luiz, Arkadiusz Milik, and Vasilije Adzic are also unavailable.
