Inter Milan Legend Calls Italy Star’ Future of Inter’
As reported by FCInterNews, Beccalossi shared his views on the 24-year-old during an interview featured in today’s print edition of Milan’s Gazzetta dello Sport.
Midfielder Frattesi has been with Inter for over a season.

The Italian international signed with the Nerazzurri from Sassuolo last summer.
Inter spent significantly acquiring Frattesi, but the 24-year-old didn’t secure a starting position immediately.
Last season, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi generally preferred to start Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Hakan Calhanoglu, and Nicolo Barella as his central trio.
This time, Piotr Zielinski has joined from Napoli, intensifying the competition for starting spots in midfield.
Beccalossi: “Davide Frattesi Is The Future Of Inter”
However, legendary former Inter midfielder Beccalossi believes that Frattesi will eventually find his role.
“He’ll be a starter for the next ten years,” he boldly predicted of the 24-year-old.
“He’s been on the bench so far, but what’s the problem?”
Beccalossi declared that “Frattesi is the future of Inter.”
“Inzaghi will have to manage the entire squad well, particularly because the players can always show their age.”
“Before, people said that Inter didn’t have any proper backups,” Beccalossi noted. “Now people act like the backups have to always play. Relax, guys.”

Regarding midfielder Nicolo Barella, Beccalossi remarked that he remains a vital player for Inter.
“Obviously, it’s too bad about his injury. But the squad has been built for this situation.”
Beccalossi then called Frattesi “A player with incredible quality.”
“I’d already watched him at Sassuolo and also with the Italy youth team.”
“He’s a great midfielder at making late runs,” Beccalossi said of Frattesi.
Milan Misses 2027 Champions League Bid; Mayor Speaks on Stadium Uncertainty
Milan Mayor Beppe Sala has reacted to UEFA’s choice to retract the city’s bid to host the 2027 Champions League final, pointing to the persistent uncertainty regarding the future of the San Siro stadium. This decision underscores the complicated circumstances surrounding the iconic venue and its occupants, Inter and AC Milan.
Sala clarified his stance, noting that he had communicated directly with UEFA. He questioned how he could assure them that no construction would occur at San Siro when they sought such guarantees. This acknowledgment highlights the fragile balance between the city’s ambitions to host significant events and the ongoing talks regarding the stadium’s renovation or possible replacement.
The mayor highlighted the decision’s practical aspect, stating that it was unfeasible to give UEFA the necessary guarantees without jeopardizing the ongoing negotiations with Inter and AC Milan about their future at San Siro.

Addressing the two clubs, Sala reminded them of their existing lease agreement, stating that the rental contract with Inter and Milan for San Siro ends in June 2030. He added that if they don’t wish to remain, they cannot assume that the contract will be renewed for them. This remark pressures both clubs to make definitive decisions regarding either the renovation of San Siro or the construction of new stadiums in different locations.
Sala also discussed the possible outcomes if Inter and Milan choose to construct their stadiums in San Donato and Rozzano, respectively. He warned that they must ensure the stadiums are completed by then, emphasizing that the city cannot be left with an empty venue. He noted that it might be necessary to consider selling San Siro to major concert promoters. This statement underscores the city’s commitment to maintaining the venue’s value for the community, regardless of the clubs’ choices.
The mayor ended on an optimistic note, expressing that if the clubs opt to renovate San Siro, “we would all be happy.” This comment keeps the possibility of collaboration open while also planning for alternative stadium uses in case the clubs decide to move on.
